Let's Do Some Spring Cleaning

The birds are singing. The sun’s showing up more often. And if you’re like me, you’re suddenly aware that your workspace might be held together by sticky notes and caffeine.
It’s the perfect time for a little freelance spring cleaning. And it's a good idea to focus on both your digital world and your physical space.
Here’s a quick checklist to clear out the cobwebs:
Digital Clean-Up
- Archive old client folders
- Unsubscribe from newsletters you never read
- Delete outdated files from your desktop (yes, even the ones titled “final_FINAL_2”)
- Tidy up your project management tools
Workspace Refresh
- Wipe down your desk (coffee rings count as personality, but still)
- Declutter those drawers—goodbye pens that don’t work
- Go through those post-it notes and throw away the ones you don't need. Last year's calendar? Put it away.
- Add something that makes you smile: a plant, a quote, a weird little desk troll
This kind of reset isn’t just about aesthetics—it’s a reminder that you run this business. A fresh space helps you think more clearly, make better decisions, and even feel more confident showing up for clients.
Spring’s the season of growth, after all. Let’s make space for it.

What We're Loving
A Clean Desk is a Happy Desk
My keyboard gets a bit gross with crumbs, dust, random hairs. Every once in a while I'll look and realize I haven't cleaned it in way too long. Last year, a friend gifted me with this little air duster/blower/vacuum for my desk (affiliate link). OMG, it's amazing! I use it all the time now. It sits right there and I can grab it between calls to do a quick dust and clean on my computer, desk, and the surrounding area. It's one of those why didn't I have this before purchases.
A Comforting Cuppa

Tea is my comfort item. I drink it when I wake up, when I'm tired, when I don't feel well, and just because. I have a collection of china tea cups and saucers and some beautiful tea pots. And I use them! I prefer a more sturdy cup for everyday drinking. So when I saw a friend drinking out of this mug, I knew I had to have it. My new favorite tea mug is the HEER Ceramic Tea Mug (affiliate link). The lid keeps the heat in during brewing and it's cute!
Wrap Up
A little cleanup now can clear the way for bigger wins later—less chaos, more clarity, and a workspace that doesn’t stress you out just by existing. So take a breather, pick one thing to tidy up, and give yourself that fresh-start feeling. You’ve got this.
